Student Government Association
Fish Aides is the freshman leadership organization within Texas A&M University's student government association. Fish Aides is designed to develop leaders of excellence through empowerment. We believe this is accomplished by focusing on the cultivation of integrity, motivation, confidence, respect and social skills. We also value service as an important component in a leader, so we strive to give freshmen opportunities to serve the needs of those around them. Fish Aides endeavors to create an environment for freshmen to grow and learn from one another, from experiences in SGA, and from different leaders of all ages and walks of life. These experiences help equip the Fish Aides for leadership in the future. Fish Aides is a community that seeks to empower not only its own members but every individual its members encounter through encouragement, enthusiasm, and service.

Maroon Coats℠ are student leaders from across campus involved in a diverse range of activities and pursuing various educational disciplines. They are students that love Texas A&M University and have a story to tell about their experiences.
The Maroon Coats℠ enhance the impact of the Texas A&M Foundation through ambassadorship, stewardship and selfless service. We do this by thanking donors for their gifts and interacting with them at Foundation-sponsored events. We also provide a student perspective during fundraising meetings and host donors or friends of the Foundation on campus visits.
